When all mics are off in a studio, you want to display a specific scene, for example a still image with the artist and song title, a loop video or some auto promos played on a specific video input of Multicam. To do so, you first need to configure the scene. As a reminder, a SCENE is a combination of TITLER elements and COMPOSER elements. To open the scene's settings on RADIO, click on the first tab SPEAKERS and click on the first icon.
For example, 2 scenes will be used :
- pgm = it contains a simple logo and a composition with the PGM
- break = it contains a simple logo and another composition that uses a background still image of the Eiffel tower
Then open the RADIO settings. To do so, click on the grind icon on the top right corner. Then click on the PROGRAM tab. A playout system needs to be configured (Zenon, RCS Zetta, Dalet, etc.) If you don't have one, select "always live" as a source and click on UPDATE.
Go to the LINKER tab. Select your scene set below "associated scene" that contains your specific scene. Then click on ADD LINK on the bottom left corner. Select "generic live program" as type and select the basic scene that is used when microphones are ON. In the conditions/variables area, click on the pen icon on the bottom left corner, click on the console tab. On Active mic ID, select "is not empty". This tells Multicam that as long as at least one microphone is active, use the normal scene (a scene that contains the video PGM as a composition).
Create a second link. Select "any program" as type and select your specific scene that will be played when all mics are OFF. This tells Multicam that if no conditions are met (= no active mic ID), then use this scene by default.
All microphones are off. In the AI section, the Mic activity field shows that no mic is currently active. Therefore, Multicam is using my "break scene".
Now one microphone is active. Multicam is using the "pgm scene" as it should.
