Version 9.6.30 – 2023/03/27

FEATURES

Common

  • Added support for the Panasonic AW-UE20.
  • Interacting with the RCP’s tally events no longer requires camera synchronization. The proper behavior now lies only on the user.
  • Added the process ID to the log filenames.

Radio / Conf

  • Removed the limit of 3 console connection errors before going in the settings. If the connection to the audio console is broken, it’ll retry indefinitely.
  • We added a status icon in the live UI (in the AI tab) to represent the current connection status. This icon is not yet compatible with all audio system, but we’ll improve them in a few upcoming releases.

Pilot

  • Added error notification if Track Compensation is disabled on a SPIRIT Slide or Dolly.

BUGFIXES

  • Fixed wrong reading for the master pedestal on Panasonic UE series.
  • Fixed wrong initial reading of the shutter value on the Panasonic UE150

  • Fixed partly hidden UI in the data panel of a countdown Clock element.

Pilot

  • Fixed a sequence preset remaining selected when leaving this sequence’ setting mode.
  • Fixed sequence’s duration buttons being visible when exiting the sequence’ setting mode while editing any duration.

Radio / Conf

  • Removed the ability to click on the STREAM button if no stream is available or enabled.
  • Removing the LiveMic DataLink from a Titler panel or speaker while this element is the actively used source for auto-titling will now properly remove it from the Radio auto-titling UI.
  • Re-assigning a microphone to an auto-titling panel or speaker will now properly update the Assist UI if it is displayed there.

InSitu

  • Fixed missing icons showing the video sources’ type and full screen button when exiting the settings’ screen.

    • added a button to prepare the main sequence separate from the play/stop one,

  • Fixed potential crash when double clicking on the Stop record button. It is now disabled after the first click.

  • Fixed editing a media past with an OUT point shorter than when previously read sometime completely skipping reading the media (requires some precise conditions to be reproduced)

  • When a sequence or transition is active, temporarily disable “Pan compensation” on a Spirit Head and restore it once the movement is done.

Common

  • Added dots beside the RECORD button to indicate which records can be triggered (grey) or are active (red). A tooltip is available to indicate the source’s identifier when a dot is moused over without moving.
  • In the settings, when editing the stream sets, the currently loaded stream set is now auto-selected when the catalogs’ list appears.

Studio / Radio / Conf

  • Removed the “SET IN” text from the button to create live extract during records. Only the icon remains.
  • The “set in” icon now flips around when a live extract to indicate that the click will be to define the extract’s out point.

Radio / Conf

  • ISO recordings are now available from the “PREVIEWS” tab.
  • Removed the single ISO recording button from the workspace (as it could only be used for a single ISO rec.)

Debriefing

  • The video player is now opened paused instead of starting to play immediately the record

  • Better connection error detection on Panasonic cameras: this means that a module will now fail to start if one of the two required connections can’t be created instead of failing silently and misbehaving during operations.
  • Better handling of bad video hub data retrieved: it’ll result in incorrect data being ignored but not interrupting a whole initialization or discarding change notifications.
  • Fixed crash when switching from a hybrid camera configuration to a PTZ one

Radio

Common

  • Updated how we detect that we reached the expected position on Panasonic AW-UE150 when using software presets. This impacts both E-LEARNING/TRACKING and PILOT.
  • When mixer FPS drops are detected, we now restart external audio sources. Outputs will also be restarted a few ticks later.

Radio

  • Refactored how playout variables are handled internally. This is only a reliability change to ensure that every playout follows the same rules. There are no new features yet and won’t impact a client.

  • Fixed adding/removing a media in a live medialist at certain positions with respect to the live item making it impossible to stop a currently playing media.
  • Fixed Polyscope devices not being detected when using the “re-detect” feature every other time.
  • Fixed restarting audio sources not re-applying the proper audio levels.
  • Fixed live audio preview level (in Studio, Radio etc…) being impacted by the Editor’s audio level.

  • [Remote] Fixed a few issues which resulted in scenes not being visible in Assist or being displayed more than once after too many connection refresh and (re-) starting Studio on the Multicam host

  • Editing a speaker/panel row which includes an image will now display only the path after the edition is saved.

FEATURES

Common

  • Added a “pause on last frame” medialist chaining mode (the media stays on the PGM on its last frame)
  • Audio source stability monitoring is done with a greatly reduced error margin
  • Fixed layout of the controllers mapping: instead of extending horizontally infinitely, the mappings will wrap to a new line. A horizontal scrollbar has been added too in case wrapping is not possible.

Assist

  • Added media renaming: this can be triggered by double clicking on the media’s name area

Titler

  • Added auto-refresh of an RSS source based on a file. It now also supports the “ttl” tag (expressed in full minutes, between 1 and 1440 which is a day)

Assist

  • Fixed a Medialist that could get reset back to the state it was when first launched. This is an extremely rare scenario and was triggered by a hard failure of another sub-component.
  • Fixed scolling issues when drag and dropping: the first container (medialist or panel data) no longer scrolls automatically when dragging something else than item residing in said container
  • Fixed in point of a media not being correctly set if it is farther in the media than the out point when opening the editor (“in process” Assist only)
  • Fixed a possible double click on TAKE when switching from a scene with titler elements using a fade out (rare scenario, requires a very long fade out on a titler element)
  • Fixed ability to click on TAKE/UPDATE ALL/CLEAR when quickly selecting another scene while a TAKE was already in progress (rare scenario, requires a very long fade out on a titler element)

Version 9.6.16 – 2022/08/25

FEATURES

Common

  • Added Information-level logging of record switches
  • It is now possible to set up the ISO rec to record the audio embedded in the source without adding the audio to the mix.
  • Enabled audio source configuration even if audio is not used in one of the final mixes.
  • Added configuration of the final audio mix format (sample rate and bitrate). This setting is next to the video output format in each room’ settings page.
  • Added ability to auto-restart the last active module/room combination when Multicam didn’t shutdown manually (meaning that closing the application from the dashboard will not trigger this new setting)

Assist

  • Improved spellchecker to support “as you type” checking instead of full word checking

Radio

  • Force reconnection to a DHD ECP console whenever we receive an empty packet.

API

  • Added a System controller with a Shutdown component. This route can be used to either reboot or shutdown the system.

BUGFIXES

Common

  • Fixed black video in the PGM when the desired source to put in the mixer was inactive. The PGM will be black as long as the source is unavailable, but it’ll correct itself when a valid signal is received
  • Enforce safety of the record stopping process. This fixes internal GPU encoder count going in the negative when a “stop record” api request is repeated too quickly.
  • Fixed non-saved configuration of the PC Input ISO rec

Radio

  • When switching between rooms with different playouts, Radio Program Receiver cache is cleared. This is only valid when we’re almost certain the playouts are different, so it applies to any playout which configuration features some address. This means that only the “David Systems DigaSystem VR Connection” playout supports this feature currently

Assist

  • Added an option to enable spell check in Assist. The language used is managed by Windows’, not by Multicam.
  • It is now possible to edit a live titling entry; the PGM will be refreshed accordingly once the input is validated.

Radio

  • Added a pseudo-console which reacts to the microphones currently live on the PGM on another Multicam. This requires the Assist license to be active on the server which is replicated.

API

  • Medialist API v2 is now tagged as obsolete, a V3 is in the works but not yet released. It won’t be possible for both to exists together, and the V2 will be removed as V3 is released.

  • Failure to initialize an IP video source will trigger a retry before failing.

  • The “play” media routes’ responses didn’t correctly send the correct position when the media is already playing: instead of sending the media’s IN point, it sent the current position.

Radio

  • Fixed an initialization issue when starting Radio in a room using a connection to a playout with a scene set previously active that doesn’t match the last scene set used by this room. This could happen when using various scenes files in Studio or in another Radio room.

Pilot

  • Fixed inverted sequence/transition on a Panasonic UE150 in ceiling mode (included in a 9.6.12 hotfix)

Publisher & recording auto-copy

  • Fixed an error when trying to delete the copied file for an in-progress publish which is cancelled. The target file could stay in an extremely rare case
