You will find here the information about our latest releases.

The required drivers versions for the 10.0 releases are:

Version 10.0.10 – 2024/06/04

FEATURES

Pilot

  • Added ability to save a preset with a joystick command.
  • Added option to bypass the “stop animation” confirmation dialog box and automatically stop the animation when trying to use a camera while the camera is currently playing a sequence or transition.

BUGFIXES

General

  • Fixed an error when releasing the virtual joystick (effectively stopping a pan/tilt or zoom).
  • Fixed a rare crash due to cancelling the recording settings edition while closing Multicam.
  • Fixed a crash due to closing Multicam while Composer is still being cleaned-up
  • Attempt at ignoring crashes due to a WPF dll

Studio

  • It is no longer possible to delete a Speaker/Panel row that is currently live. This was done to be consistent with Assist implementation.

Radio/Conf

  • Fixed a rare crash that would happen by closing Radio while simultaneously using the API to load a preset bank and change the selected scene set.
  • Fixed API call to force a microphone, or force auto-mode, not being applied.

Pilot

  • Fixed a crash due to a numerical error when using the Spirit Head with some lenses.

Version 10.0.9 – 2024/05/21

FEATURES

General

  • Add an auto-start mode to always start a specific module with a specific room.
  • Add optional media constraints to deny media import when constraints are not respected (dimensions or bitrate too big). An optional flag can be checked to apply the same constraints to the API. Those constraints will NOT apply to Radio automation (clips requested through playout will always be considered valid, even with the constraints option setup).

API

  • Add description of composition elements when enumerating compositions from the active file. The description of each element is still basic right now; it includes the identifier, the name and the source assigned to it.
  • Add route to change the camera used in a composition “camera” element. Restriction: changes aren’t yet applied live when using a video hub integration (validation pending).

BUGFIXES

General

  • Fixed a crash that would happen while interrogating UI thread responsivity when Windows Performance Counters are corrupted or when Multicam’s own Performance Counters are missing.

Radio/Conf

  • Fixed a fatal exception when closing Radio or Conf in a very specific case where the module ended up being cleaned-up twice.

Assist

  • Fixed a fatal exception when quickly closing Studio/Radio/Conf with Assist enabled after changing the active scene set.
  • Fixed a few potential crashes when using the “auto-size columns” toggle button with an empty grid
  • Fixed a crash when editing a scene set while Assist is running locally with a very high media count in a medialist

Version 10.0.8 – 2024/04/23

FEATURES

API

  • Ignore case in JSON body messages.

BUGFIXES

General

  • When failing to start an AUX rec, we won’t show the error anymore; we added more log to understand this issue.

API

  • Fix API JSON responses’ properties to be formatted in camelCase instead of PascalCase (like it was in pre-v10, as the change wasn’t intentional).

Radio / Conf

  • Fix an error message that may appear when starting or resetting a new configuration. (This issue could appear since Multicam 10.0.3.)

Version 10.0.7 – 2024/04/09

BUGFIXES

General

  • Fixed a fatal crash introduced in v10 when trying to publish a record to an FTP server.
  • Fixed pausing an FTP upload.
  • Fixed a rare fatal crash when trying to up the priority to publish a record or excerpt.

Studio

  • Fixed missing video inputs when using an Epiphan input as a standard input instead of a PC input.

Assist

  • Fixed a fatal crash when changing the current scenes’ set multiple times very quickly with at least one scene set with “heavy” scenes (multiple panels, medialist etc…)
  • Fixed a silent error that would happen when storing a panel column’s width after having resized it.
  • Fixed a silent error when saving the currently selected row.

Radio / Conf

  • Fixed a configuration file upgrade not being applied when needed and blocking the launch of the module.

Version 10.0.6 – 2024/03/25

FEATURES

Composer

  • Compositions can now be dragged and dropped to re-organize them.

Conf

  • Re-integrated Bosch Dicentis but using their WebSocket protocol. Updating will pick up the previous configuration you made during the upgrade.

BUGFIXES

General

  • Fixed fatal error when requesting a Canon camera to go to a specific orientation right before the previous position is reached.
  • Fix a timeout in Sony communication while using the autoframer storing the home position instead of acknowledging the lack of camera communication.
  • Fixed MulticamNetSetup not being able to run.
  • Fix attempt to solve fatal user interface errors in WPF.

Studio

  • Fixed a media not playing in the PGM if the playlist file was changed immediately after “untaking” a composition rendering a playlist. What happens now is that changing the current playlist file while the playlist is live will no longer switch back to the previous source to avoid the scenario described. Instead, the PGM can remain black if there is no auto-play on the newly selected playlist.

Radio / Conf

  • Fixed a memory leak when entering/exiting settings quickly multiple times.

Version 10.0.5 – 2024/03/13

BUGFIXES

General

  • Fixed a memory leak when using the global settings.

Assist

  • Fixed a silent exception that happened when Clearing an element while an Update All is in progress.

Radio / Conf

  • Fixed missing wide preset creation prompts when upping the minimum number of wide presets above their current count.
  • More improvements to make Beauty solo presets as valid as other choices when checking against minimum presets and minimum cameras used.

Version 10.0.4 – 2024/02/27

FEATURES

General

  • ISO Recordings are now a licensable feature. If you use them, please get in touch with your business contact before you update in order to renew your license with the feature.
  • Improve behavior of software presets on Panasonic HE40 and HE70 cameras.

Conf

  • Improved Taiden communication reliability to avoid exceptions when disconnecting.

BUGFIXES

General

  • When using ISO recordings, unavailable sources that are currently selected will be shown in a live module to be disabled to reclaim an ISO rec slot.
  • Added missing check for bulk inquiry support after recalling a preset on VISCA cameras.
  • Fixed log spamming when a source on which FPS monitoring was enabled disappears.

InSitu

  • Trying to fix a crash happening when closing the module.

Radio / Conf

  • Fixed interaction between custom minimum presets counts and multiple preset banks.

Publisher

  • Fixed wrong set in/out behavior when publishing extremely short videos using the crop task.

Version 10.0.3 – 2024/02/13

BUGFIXES

General

  • Fixed reading Sony’s steady shot & stabilizer status on supported cameras.
  • Removed unsupported set of steady shot level on Sony Z700 and H700.

Assist

  • Fixed inconsequential error when selecting a row in a scene, then deleting the previously selected row from another scene.
  • Fixed enabling multi-selection on a panel, then selecting a few lines (or all) then importing a new set of data from the importer showing the initial selection count instead of disabling multi-selection.

Radio / Conf

  • Fixed closing Radio or Conf while a change has been made in the settings but not saved freezing the UI on the Multicam dashboard.
  • Fixed the possibility to delete a wide preset needed to fit the minimum camera number requirement on them.
  • Made more presets considered valid once the initial setup has been done, to allow beauty or unscored presets to count toward the minimum presets of wide and solo limits defined in the Radio admin section.
  • Fixed exiting the settings while a change is still unsaved showing a message box where the “Cancel” action was discarding the change instead of cancelling leaving the settings.

Version 10.0.2 – 2024/01/29

BUGFIXES

General

  • Fixed concurrency issues when loading playlists in very rare and heavy use cases. This error resulted in an inability to play a faulted medialist.
  • Fixed crash when deleting a media excerpt (in publisher’s editor or when editing a media in a medialist) while dragging it’s in or out point.
  • Fixed error when trying to open Composer from Studio or manual mode for Radio/Conf when no compositions files were created first. This resulted in the editor not opening.
  • Fixed network video source sometime generating a wrong warning about resolution compatibility with the room’s video format.

Assist

  • Importers tab is now refreshed when displayed.
  • Fixed crash when resizing the column of an empty panel after a mass deletion.
  • Fixed missing version from remote installer’s name.

Radio / Conf

  • Fixed software preset recall on Panasonic UE70 longer than we wait before showing the video source in the live output.

Version 10.0.1 – 2024/01/15

FEATURES

General

  • If a video source’s format (when possible) is different from the mixer’s format, we now display a warning symbol and an explanation of the error. This is added to the room’ settings as well as to the “info” window when a module is running. Respecting the video format of the mixer will help reduce performance issues due to video signal conversion.

Radio / Conf

  • Added an auto-titling option to show the current speaker every time the bound microphone is live in the video output.
  • Added an auto-titling option to keep the current speaker displayed as long as the bound microphone is live on the output.

BUGFIXES

General

  • Fixed cancelling a room change not properly cancelling the changes if the room was saved previously in the same application lifetime.

Radio / Conf

  • Fixed auto-titling maximum duration not being updated after changing it when enforcing the default behavior.

Radio

  • Fixed an unhandled error in Ember+ network code; this error supposedly had no visible consequences.

Version 10.0.0 – 2024/01/03

Please, take the time to fully test the system after upgrading this version. Reserve enough time to allow for a downgrade to v9.10.3 if any incompatibilities are detected.

FEATURES

  • Updated copyrights to 2024
  • Updated to .Net 7.
  • Add a UI reactivity metric (both in the logs and as a performance counter)
  • Add an option in titler to force a text area to lowercase

Conf

  • Breaking change: Removed Bosch Dicentis conference system (the Bosch Dicentis SDK does not support modern .Net).
  • Added option to follow video tracking information sent by Taiden HCS4800 / 8600 systems.

Assist

  • Breaking change: Removed now unsupported UTF-7 file format.

API

  • Breaking change: updated to SignalR core; it is not compatible with the previous SignalR version!
  • Breaking change: Replaced user/password authentication by an API key (more at: https://support.multicam-systems.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004982933-Web-API-Authentication)
  • Allow the use of SignalR without having an Assist license.
  • Added a page to test SignalR.

Pilot

  • Stop a running animation (sequence or transition) when a Spirit device change its homing or power status.

E-Learning / Tracking

  • Updated composition to the modern file format (no visual changes).

BUGFIXES

General

  • Fixed re-ordering a room’s inputs not refreshing the auto-generated names correctly.
  • Improved iris handling when using a Spirit Head.

Studio

  • Fixed a crash that could happen when TAKE-ing an HTML titler element using a grid mode after selecting an URL then changing the active titler file back and forth, and finally TAKE-ing the HTML element again.
  • Fixed a bug where some titler elements are live when changing the active titler file were live again after selecting the titler file again despite not having the “Display when loaded” flag set.

Radio / Conf

  • Fixed enabling auto-titling not triggering a refresh of the panel in Assist.
  • Fixed auto-titling pane incorrectly showing a panel that may not be part of the active scene
