Integrate live social messaging streams in Multicam

Requirements

• Multicam Suite 9.9.6 or above
• Social Stream Ninja software (free)

Note : this article will mainly focus on how to integrate Social Stream Ninja tool with Multicam. It won't detail all the parameters to customize the overlay, load templates, themes, use the API... for that, please visit the web site of Social Stream Ninja.

Steps

1. Download and install Social Stream Ninja on the PC
   
   
2. Add a new source and activate the source
   
   
   
   
3. Click on Service Disabled to activate it
   
   
   
   
   
4. Customize the overlay to your need then copy the URL generated
   
   
   
   
5.  Open Multicam, then open Titler
6. If needed, create a new titler set, or use an existing one
7. Tick ADVANCED to see the RICH DATA titler type. Click on it and select HTML as data type, then click on +
   
   
   
   
8. Configure the ON/OFF automation to your needs and the position of the layer
   
   
   
   
9. Open the DATA tab. There is 2 ways to add the URL : variable and grid
   
   
   
   Variable = single URL with % delimiters to create dynamic url link
   Grid = list of multiple URL
   
   If you plan to use a single URL, choose variable. If you plan to use several URLs with different options, use grid instead. Paste the URL previously copied.
   
   For grid, URL 1 can be used to display only Twitch messages (this can be configured on Social Stream Ninja in Messages - Visibility) and URL 2 is used to display other services such as Youtube and Tiktok for example.
   
   
10.  Now that your HTML titler is configured, it can be used as it is or associated to a scene set
